Corporatism - Fascism - The NASDAQ

You will need to comply with the agenda or lose access to public markets.

Nasdaq on Tuesday moved to require that companies on its exchange include a woman and a person of a minority racial background or sexual orientation on their boards of directors.

"This proposal and partnership gives companies an opportunity to make progress toward increasing representation of women, underrepresented minorities and the LGBTQ+ community on their boards," said Nelson Griggs, president of Nasdaq Stock Exchange, in announcing the proposal.

Listed companies would have to include "one who self-identifies as female and one who self-identifies as either an underrepresented minority or LGBTQ+," according to the company's press release.

This rule would not apply to foreign companies or smaller reporting companies, but they would have to include at least two female directors.

Nasdaq filed the proposal with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for approval.

If approved, all companies will be expected to have one director from the specified categories within two years of the SEC's approval. These companies would have between four and five years to announce their second such director.

Companies that do not comply with the rule, if approved, will not be delisted from the exchange, but they will have to publicly explain why they are not following the rule.

"Our goal with this proposal is to provide a transparent framework for Nasdaq-listed companies to present their board composition and diversity philosophy effectively to all stakeholders; we believe this listing rule is one step in a broader journey to achieve inclusive representation across corporate America," said Adena Friedman, Nasdaq's president CEO.
Nasdaq seeks to require companies to have at least one woman and one minority or gay director

Fascism's distinguishing characteristic is a "mixed economy." Unlike socialists and communists who seek to abolish private business, fascists are content to let business remain in private hands. Instead, fascists use regulations, mandates, and taxes to control business and run (and ruin) the economy. A fascist system, then, is one where private businesses serve politicians and bureaucrats instead of consumers. Does the modern American economy not fit the definition of fascism?

Time for some companies to stand up and take the heat. Unfortunately the boards of most companies are scared of this kind of thing. They tuck they tail and comply even though they don't want to.

Amazon, Google, Walmart, and other leading firms, call on Biden, Congress to address climate change

Many of the nation's top companies, including Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Ford, Google and Walmart, are calling on the new administration to address climate change and come up with long-term solutions in response to concerns from investors, customers, communities and employees.

In a letter to President-elect Joe Biden and the new Congress, 42 corporations urged the government to rejoin the Paris Agreement and enact ambitious climate policies now.

The statement, which represented a cross section of corporate America, said it would support Biden's decision to recommit to emissions reduction goals under the accord after President Donald Trump formally withdrew the country from the climate change agreement.

I have a great idea. Lets take those who think the Paris Accord is so great and drop them off to live in France. Lets take those who think sharia law is so great and drop them off in the islamic country of their choice. And then, lets take those who think socialism is such a great idea and drop them off to live in their country of choice which already runs on socialism/communism.

I guess what I am actually saying is; "AMERICA, LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
