I never realized that, good catch Tom...and thanks for the interesting details AJ!

We had continuous periods of rain Friday thru Saturday and wound up with a lot of flooding in the area due to the ground being frozen.

How do you deal with that? Do you super insulate the house, do you have multiple heat sources, do you leave your car plugged in, do your pipes ever freeze?? This is good time for lots of details on how you manage to function in that cold!

We had a winter storm warning overnight and got 5-6 inches of snow. But then the temps went just above freezing so now we rain. But now the temps are on their way down to the teens. Snow...ice...snow.

We had a couple inches of snow the last few days and the temps have stayed in the deep freeze, although the wind chills are more -40 or "warmer" instead of -55 to -60F.
Tomorrow, Sunday, the warming trend starts around noon (according to The Weather Network App) and continues into Monday when we reach a high of +23F mid afternoon! What a change! Tuesday is forecast at +27F. That's -5C for Monday and -3C Tuesday. It's supposed to stay in that range for about a week. Yaaayyyy!!!!
People wonder how we can go out in +20F in a hoodie ... let's do the math! We just came through a -60F wind chill. That's an 80 degree warm up. May as well be on a beach somewhere!

March is our second winter. April is deceptive and can be a bitterly cold mess.
