    Hot stuff

Like it, love it or pass?

I like the sweet bell peppers and will sometimes use a little of the mild red chile but that's it for me, never cared for the hotter stuff.

    I love hot and spicy!!!

I've read that there's something (capsaicin?) in peppers that's beneficial to the body.

As far as the "Heat Index," I've gone as high as the Habanero Level, in terms of consumption, but I'd go a little higher on a double-dog dare.

    not a big chili fan.

the thing they can't measure is the different taste, apart from the "hot" in peppers.

I grew jalapenos for the first time this summer and I really enjoyed them soooo much! I was even harvesting them last week! I do cut the seeds out if I use them. During the summer when everything was in full "pick mode", I'd grab a squash and jalapeno and banana pepper, and dice up some potato I purchased and the store and fry it up in the iron skillet....soooo good!

We grow banana peppers every summer and we always get hundreds off of two plants, every year like clockwork. So easy to grow and very hardy! The jalapenos were just great...got dozens and dozens of those off of 4-5 plants.

I don't like stuff too hot.....can't enjoy the food that way. I like a solid medium heat when ordering food, and I don't put hot sauce on everything, either.

banana peppers have no heat to them...or they shouldn't. But they're not a sweet pepper like a bell pepper.

Personally, I love spicy food, but I don't want it so hot that I can't enjoy the rest of the flavors.
