Ahem...
"Too much cinnamon can cause a host of nasty oral health problems, including painful sores, inflamed taste buds and a burning sensation of the tongue and tissue in the mouth...Many people do not realize cinnamon is a caustic substance that can dry out and irritate oral tissue..."

Cinnamon as in dessert, cinnamon rolls, etc. I like but in some forms it actually burns my mouth. The two main forms are however it is in breath mints, like Altoids, and in Close Up tooth paste. It hasn't always done this. Just at some point in my 40s it started doing this. One time I brushed my teeth with Close Up (I was out of my Colgate and my wife uses it) and it burned the inside of my mouth so bad I could hardly put anything in my mouth for a week.

I'm a big cinnamon fan. I use the cinnamon air fresheners, and the cinnamon wax that you melt for scent. I also put it in all sorts of foods. I love the stuff!
