Florida voters approve constitutional amendment raising minimum wage to 15 dollars
Interesting how voters so often defy their assigned "boxes".
Economically liberal while culturally conservative?
Voters approve amendment supporting Florida minimum wage increase
TALLAHASSEE — With all precincts reporting, Floridians have approved an amendment to raise the state's minimum wage to $15 per hour by 2026.
With 10.48 million votes counted, 60.8 percent of Floridians voted "yes" on the measure, just barely crossing the 60 percent threshold that constitutional amendments need for approval.
Orlando lawyer John Morgan, who spent millions trying to get the amendment passed, said "God answered my prayers."
"Tonight the people of Florida gave the working poor a forever raise," Morgan said in a text message. "This was not a political issue, it was a moral issue."
The amendment increases the state's minimum wage from $8.56 to $10 in September next year, then go up by $1 each year until it reaches $15 in 2026. Florida will be the eighth state where the minimum wage will be set at $15 in the near future.

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
I voted yes on that amendment but I still don't support in any way shape or form the baby killing, communist democrat party.
Now as to why?
I ran a landscape company back in the 80's and paid my men 500.00 a week, rain or shine. They showed up, worked hard and could put roofs over their heads. It is now almost 40 years later and prices on everything from rent to food to fuel has tripled because of the cruelest tax of all, inflation and people are squawking about 10-15 an hour?
Again, I don't support commie dems but don't have a problem with folks making a decent wage.
