Metro Detroit had an earthquake
Every few years Metro Detroit will have a tiny earthquake that you usually don't even feel, but this time I felt the house tremble and something even slid down on a shelf. There was even some kind of a strange boom just before it's started.
3.2 magnitude earthquake reported outside Detroit Beach in Monroe County

The first big earthquake here in Albania was only 6 miles away, and what was very impressing was the sound,
something like stone scratching on stone. I thought that that was scarier then the shaking.
Anyway, it was a funny situation: I was standing on a chair reaching up and hammering a nail when it started to shake. The first second I was rather confused when the wall came nearer.... took me a second to realize what was going on

We had one in NC when I lived there several years ago. I remember I was in my office sitting in my office chair praying and felt this every so gentle 'shaking'. I remember thinking at the time, because it felt like it happened in my body that it was God. Seriously. Only later did I realize it was that earthquake when I heard about it. :)

That Detroit area quake is part of the New Madrid faultline. Google up the 1811 quake that hit St Louis and rattled the area with 8.0's for weeks and months. The History Channel had a segment on this recently. Thank God there were small towns and villages then.

Yeah...that part was really strange and lots of other people heard it too just as the shaking started.
