Gays Team Up With Beth Moore's Daughter to Attack John MacArthur for Biblical View on Sexuality

    ...

But, today, MacArthur is being attacked by "gay Christians" who team up with Beth Moore & Co for his biblical views on sexuality. Nate Collins explains how John MacArthur made a biblical comparison of sexually aberrant behaviors — except, of course, Collins didn't explain it that way — and called John MacArthur's views "toxic." One can only assume that Collins would find the vast majority of the Bible to be "toxic."

Gays Team Up With Beth Moore's Daughter to Attack John MacArthur for Biblical View on Sexuality

2 Tim 3: "But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these."

No, what's truly toxic is that website. I've seen other stories on there like this that use out of context statements, wrong suppositions, and whatever other means they can use to denigrate other believers. I know Nate Collins. To say he would find "the vast majority of the Bible to be toxic" is an out and out lie. He's a Bible believing man who has same-sex attractions, but does not act on them. He's married and the father of young sons and though I disagree with him on some matters, he is certainly a strong brother in Christ. He does not believe that gays need to act on their attractions--and if they do so, it's sinful.

Sheesh. I hate stuff like this.

Although I should be completely embarrassed with the OP (and unfortunately I can't find an alternate reporting of the alleged incident for comparison purposes) perhaps this is a good example of cherry-picking and of not looking at the context (as some/lots are wont to do when preaching).

JMac has Biblical views on sexuality; Beth Moore's Daughter (should have picked up on that one. If you have to be identified as <someone's> daughter ...) but Beth Moore? Na! and then the generic "Gays". Just too good to go past. But that's what so many do with Scripture do they not? A Scripture fits an idea so we run with it without ensuring that it says what we think it says.
