Population OKC proper 600,000+, OKC metro 1.3 million +
Rural- suburban- urban I live suburban
Climate Four distinct seasons, snow doesn't last long with fairly mild winters. Summer can hit 100+
    Terrain Mostly flat.
Traffic I-40 and I -35 meet here. The interstates are busy, but I would say rush hours elsewhere are average. That would be mild by Cali standards.

What you like/ dislike I would prefer to live outside of OKC. I rarely go into the city proper.
Would you leave or are you a lifer I have no desire to ever leave Oklahoma.
The weather in okc sounds a lot like NC

    Locale: Oregon
Crime rate / safety: Probably better than most. Some theft and all, but few murders.
    Politics: VERY left wing.
Cost of living: Good. No sales tax. If something is $9.95, that's what you pay. Not a cent more.
Cost of housing: Pretty reasonable. You can still buy a decent house for under $200,000.
Population: About 100,000 in our total metro area.
Rural- suburban- urban: Not rural, not urban. A fair-sized city.
Climate: Rainy winters usually. No tornadoes, hurricanes, or (rarely) an earthquake.
    Terrain: We're in a valley.
Traffic: Not bad, except during rush hour.

What you like/ dislike: I like living only an hour from the Pacific Ocean. I like our warm summers. Do not like the rain. Do not like the politics. I like that it's against the law to pump your own gas.
Would you leave or are you a lifer: I would leave to follow our adult kids and grandkids. That's not likely to happen, so we'll probably stay here till the end.

    For me:

Locale: Central NJ. Close to NYC, Atlantic ocean, and mountains (Poconos, Catskills). I like the variety. Lots of trees!!!

Crime rate / safety: In my area, safe; in other areas, not so much.

Politics: Governor: center-right, legislature: center-left. Although I don't really like Gov. Christie, I'm glad he accepted the Medicaid expansion.

Cost of living: Property taxes are very high. But most public schools are of very high quality. Also, public facilities (parks, libraries, etc.) are generally good.

Cost of housing: It varies from extremely high to moderate, depending mainly on proximity to NYC/Philly and commuter rail lines.

Population: Where I live, very multi-ethnic: Hindi, Chinese, Latino, African-American, Korean, Muslim.

    Rural- suburban- urban: Suburban

Climate: Typical northeast: snow in winter, hot/humid in summer.

    Terrain: Rolling hills.

Traffic: Can be very bad. Depends a lot on direction and time-of-day.

Would I move? Yes, I'd like to move to the Pacific Northwest.

    Little city in rural area.
    About 60,000 in immediate area.
Average crime and politics, probably leans a little left. (Though our state is ultra liberal)
Housing and cost of living a little below average

Climate .... touches 100* in summer and -15* in winter.

Flat terrain: corn, corn soybean and corn

I would love to move south, starting to hate winters here. All my kids and their spouses live nearby and would also like to move further south. Ideally a farmette with a couple of houses would be nice. (I think my kids want nearby and free child care for their kids). Finances make it look like we will always be here.

I'm gladly imprisoned IN CHRIST, and the door to my heart has been removed so the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ is welcomed in my spirit, soul, and body at all times... so it's as close as one can get to Heaven whilst still being in the dark, sinful, disgusting world.

Oregon is beautiful. Too much rain though.. but probably a blessing. The rain keeps your state from becoming over populated.
Oregon was the first state to legalize assisted suicide which shows how liberal it is.

Yes, and we live in a university town. Need I say more?
