Firstly Christians should be obeying the scriptures as that is how the Spirit leads

After being saved for decades, meeting and having fellowship with many leaders at certain events and conferences, doing ministry work I have come to the conclusion that many believers and leaders are not regularly lead by the Holy Spirit.

Too much guess work, emotional decisions, carnal attitudes and personal choices take precedence over God's leading. Of course when they have to address the church they have to assume and tell the church they are being Spirit lead.

Fortunately God is gracious and still works among all the human activity pretending to be the Holy Spirit. Miracles and many blessings can still occur among all the flesh - which is more a sign of God's goodness.

This can vary from church to church and in denominations with some far more open to the Holy Spirit and others basically spiritually deaf.

What I've found bothersome over the years is the lack of prayer meetings. Just can't find one. Then, church folk scratch their noggins when trouble hits and tears up the church or people leave. Churches needing a pastor will not come together, fast and pray, and wonder why they get the "wrong guy".

Far too many local churches do things by accident than on purpose.

Being Spirit led means to be led by the unction of the Holy Spirit, and the way we know whether that unction is God or not is by the Word of God. It is both led of the Spirit and confirmed by the Word. It is also led according to the Word & testified to by the Holy Spirit. Both ways.

Grace, Shalom, and Maranatha in Jesus name.

Constant communion with Holy Spirit...positive He does not tell us to do what we think is best until He tells us otherwise.
