What I miss in this time are christians starting to share love and compassion. Accusation, bashing, egoism, pride, complaing, blaming etc seems to be booming in churches.
I wish that we as children of God would love him and another in a deeper way.
I wish we would all be posting here how we reach out to those suffering from the impact of Corona. I wish we would all be sharing about how to worship in ways that nobody gets sick.

Yes you are one of them. Because how you use it isn't what it says.
It doesn't mean what most says it means when you take it in context. It's normally quoted as if it's on an island by itself, and not in the context of us yielding to the Holy Spirit to pray God's perfect will for us, and through those prayers working all things to our good. It's not just a random thing, but something done specifically by yielding to the Holy Spirit in prayer.

Don't get me started, Fuego. That verse and others that confirm it have been proven true in my life too many times for me to have any doubts as to the truth of it (and in context!).

We have but only talk about it with each other. We have paid rent, gone grocery shopping for others, mowed lawns, bought clothes, one sister bakes meals and sets treats out on her porch...etc etc etc
Just heard yesterday two men dying of cancer have been healed by the name of Jesus. So yeah, just doing what we've been doing. Wuhan Flu hasn't slowed us down much.

Rom 8:28 is applied by faith not by lip service to doctrine. In the latter case people imagine to themselves that and how it's working but it isn't, it's just religion.

ETA: we meet in homes, about 15 of us. Sometimes we sit outside. We greet each other with hugs and handshakes, none of us wear masks. No sickness among us.

That's a good way to put it.
And one way to apply it by faith is to obey the context of the scripture which allows the Holy Spirit to do that in our lives.

"to those who love God" ? Some people who believe in that verse actually hate God.

For me, I think God wants the pandemic to bring back the "fear of God" to people. For a long time we have lost the fear of the Lord. With the return of the fear of the Lord, we should expect a wave of personal and national repentance. However, that's not the current reaction. Therefore, I suspect the pandemic will get worse, as will civil unrest, and perhaps some more "judgements" that SHOULD bring about a return to the fear of the Lord, which should then result in repentance. God help us if we don't experience the fear of the Lord in the days ahead. I would also like to see some noted men and women of God be more vocal in restoring the fear of God in us and calling for national repentance. We hear so little about that now and yet I believe it's absolutely key to releasing God's hand of healing in our land.
I believe we're in the second stage of Revival, and that it will come to full fruition between Christmas and Easter. I also agree with the Word and Fuego. The pandemic is from Satan, who used China. He couldn't shut the Church any other way. Thank God for those Churches that didn't fall for it, fought the governing authorities, and WON!
