As I asked a couple of days ago while pointing out some glaring questionables fuego "
We know the Bible is 100% correct and it is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness (2Tim 3:16) so taking what has been reported at face value, comparing it to what we know to be true from the Bible, what rating out of 10 would you give it for actually being a visit to heaven?"
As I also said '
I am reminded of the Berenans who "were more noble-minded ... for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so."'
It has been said, and there is agreement to "After listening to her testimony, I don't think there's any doubt about whether she's a real Christian
". But that is irrelevant. I'm a Christian but I lie, and cheat, and intentionally rebel against God, and lots of other sins, daily. What is important is "examining the Scriptures ... to see whether these things were so" and although I've asked no one seems to have done that.
Is this "sound doctrine" or "ear tickling" (2 Timothy 4:3
) feugo?
Now such things are not new and here's something I was told as a young Roman Catholic and I believed because, well because the Nuns told me, it sounded good, and I knew no better.
The following story is described thus:
"It is certainly not a treatise on theology but, imperfections aside, it reflects how much Our Mother strives to help us reach out to Jesus — even when it is so hard for us to persevere in virtue.
"
The Story:
(Closing remark from the article) "It is no wonder that when we ourselves close the doors of Paradise with the bars of sin, Mary opens a window form us, so that we can always have a second (and third, and fourth) chance."
You know the one about St. Peter investigating how souls were entering Heaven without his permission?
