That would be an employment of sovereignty that annuls the Biblical principle of equal justice. You're basically saying that "since God is sovereign therefore he can do anything he wants including pervert justice and noone can stop him". But God isn't like that. The Satan that the Satanic witch I mentioned believed in may well be like that. I'm not sure if she thought that she was unconditionally elected to be Satan's favored servant, I didn't ask.

How is showing mercy when you've personally fulfilled the requirements of justice unequal?

It's unequal when it's unequally applied across the group in question.

Jam 2:9 but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors.

Luke 20:21 Then they asked Him, saying, "Teacher, we know that You say and teach rightly, and You do not show personal favoritism, but teach the way of God in truth:"

It gets worse when the judge himself makes sure that the people involved cannot but commit crimes, before selecting a few for "pardoning" without any criteria other than personal preference. Now it's not only unequal justice, it's a farce.

Paul addresses that in Romans 9.

There is no injustice with God, is there? May it never be!

In Romans 9 they go from not being his people to being his people so what's your point ?

Romans 9:25 As He says also in Hosea:
"I will call them My people, who were not My people,
And her beloved, who was not beloved."
26 "And it shall come to pass in the place where it was said to them,
    'You are not My people,'
There they shall be called sons of the living God."
