Our RV gets 10 MPG. When we fill up it takes about $150. I nearly had a stroke the first time.

I get the same when pulling our trailer. We used to have a smaller motorhome, smaller than yours and one trip segment it pulled a 13mpg. Tailwinds.

This is what she looked like except mine was burgundy.

My parents had a '61 Catalina with a 389 and it sailed pretty good.

My parents drove Pontiacs in the 60's. We currently drive an '05 Buick LeSabre. It replaced a '98 LeSabre that got t-boned in '18. We get 24 or 25 on the highway. For many years we have driven used granny cars. They last almost forever.

My Dad had the smaller version.. the Coupe Deville.

    I didn't wreck that one.

He was buying these land yachts on the cheap when gas prices started going up.

We have a 2009.5 G6 GT that is really good on gas, gets 26 driving normally. This year of G6 was their last design and is a blast to drive. I miss Pontiac. GM should of canned Olds instead. Pontiac had a reputation for performance and probably stirred longstanding contention from the early days of John Delorean and muscle cars.

My favorite auto since I was a kid was Oldsmobile. Loved it!

However, my first car was a 1948 Plymouth in mint condition, which I wrecked. A big city bus slid unto me on the icy streets of Des Moines. Back in the day when gas was cheap and they use to have gas wars. Gas was ca.30 cents per gallon. Gas wars it got down to as low as 15-19 cents.

The Hemi truck is doing the J.O.B. It pulled the camper to the UP for a 2 week vacation. Pulling the travel trailer it was getting 11mpg. On the highway at 55mph it will get 17-21mpg depending on hills and wind. Today, I hauled something bigger than the truck itself:

Chevy did that years back with the 4.3l Vortec, derived from their smallblock.
The 4.3 has become my favorite GM motor. Over the last 30 years I have had quite a few of them. They run forever and still sound nice if you put headers on them. It is a 350 with 2 cylinders chopped off if you do the math.
