Possible does not necessarily imply plausible. Just because it would be possible that Joseph could have had the pyramids built to store grain does not mean that there is any reason whatsoever to believe that that is what happened. Ben Carson and his peers may well have conjured that notion out of thin air.

The Bible covers a limited amount of history. To disbelieve that an even took place because it is not found in the Bible doesn't affect the truth of the Bible. I think we can all agree that America did not originally consist of white Europeans. There are documentaries that show what appear to be authentic evidence that the Vikings were in North America before Columbus.

That is pretty much an undisputed fact. Only a diehard "Columbus day" fanatic would suggest otherwise.

It was excavated in 1960 and made a UNESCO world heritage site in 1978. But it takes a while before recent findings find their way into school books and history books as more than a side note.

That is based on evidence. Ben Carson's claim isn't based either on evidence, on the Bible or on other historical accounts, it is simply speculation. A form of speculation that pleases religious itching ears.

    Yes, agreed!
