Quest (04-22-2020)
Hebrew 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
I think you can understand this differently. For me it does mean more leaving the church and not mean missing a service. I agree that we need fellowship, but there are different ways to have fellowship with sisters and brothers. We are not limited to a building or to a specific time.

We Christians should be more nuanced in how we assess situations and in drawing conclusions. There is nothing hindering Christians from "assembling together"...we just have to be creative, with the leading of the HS to do it. My church has a daily devotional and prayer time by phone...some churches are doing "drive-in" services where the people stay in their cars while the pastor or speaker preaches using radio wavelength (?) or from a mic on a platform. I guess there are other ways people can or have been gathering. As for myself, I REALLY miss being in corporate services, BUT I understand that our government has mandated this course of action and it's TEMPORARY. I think God understands this, COVID was no surprise to Him. And I don't think there is some evil intent to block Christians from worshipping or some intent to persecute us. This is for all of our safety.
