Frozen Chosen
I went shopping yesterday to 2stores and while TP, boxes of tissue and paper towels shelves were bare, there seemed to be lots of everything else. I suppose some canned goods were somewhat picked over, especially pasta sauces, and a friend of mine who went to Walmart yesterday said canned soups and a few other things were almost bare... overall, if you don't have diarrhea in the household, shoppers should be ok.

Went today. No bleach. no butter, no paper products. no soup, no ice cream. Shelves threadbare.
Yes it is true, the toilet paper shelf was wiped clean. I smell a recession.

I went to a Family Dollar today just to grab a few things. I wanted some Reese's Peanut Butter cups and paper towels. As I walked in I noticed the checkout line had people with their carts full of toilet paper. I thought about it and figured it wouldn't hurt to grab one more package and by the time I walked down to that aisle there were only three left. I just took one and left the other two which disappeared a half minute later.
There were maybe 20 packages of paper towels left so I got two of those but I couldn't find my Reese's anywhere, they were wiped out except for overpriced packages of the mini's. No milk, dairy or bread products either but I had bought some a few days before so that wasn't an issue.
As per my post in another thread, Michigan just closed down restaurants gyms and a lot of other public places so it spurred a bigger buying frenzy and now shelves are looking even barer.

I did buy flour and yeast when I was last at the grocery store. I haven't baked bread in about 9 months, but it looks like I may start again.
The biggest problem being freshly baked bread does not last long in our house!

Well, I guess we can add "abundance of toilet paper" to the official list of leading economic indicators.
Has no one heard of a "bidet"??? (A shower massage works just as well. TMI, perhaps.)

we don't do Costco.. but the Von's was interesting.
Lots and lots of empty shelves..
Duane usually gets what we need at Target and most of our other groceries are at Sprouts.
We haven't seen the insanity.
Other than just more traffic than usual

I accidentally scored a 30 double roll of TP today! aaahahahahahahaaa!
Something that REALLY surprised me was that the shelves for toilet bowl cleaner (which I actually needed and had to go to another store) were completely empty. So suddenly, people need really, really clean toilets???

I bought flour and yeast to bake bread if needed. I haven't baked bread from scratch in probably more than 25 years. A few years back I did bake a few of the frozen loaves. Home made bread doesn't last at our house either, Muriel!
