Pentecostal Pastor Gets Four Chairs on 'The Voice,' Talks Worship With Nick Jonas, Kelly Clarkson
A Pentecostal pastor got four chairs on a recent episode of The Voice while he belted "We've Got Tonight."
Todd Tilghman, who pastors Cornerstone Church in Meridian, Mississippi, says he and his wife, Brooke, have eight kids, two of whom are adopted.
Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Nick Jonas gave Tilghman a standing ovation for his stellar performance.

He has a great voice. You know, I appreciate he's 'Pentecostal', etc, but why aren't Christians more protective of their testimony, or more cognizant of putting forth a good testimony? I mean pick a song that would fit who you supposedly are. That's a great testimony for a Christian, singing a song that's "The best sexual proposition ever set to music" according to one person. I really just get weary of this.

IMO these shows are carnal and promote the 'love of the world'
Aren't Kelly Clarkson and Nick Jonas believers who support LGBTQ???

This Christian lady went on The Bachelor and then leaves because the guy was intimate with one of the other females. Honestly did she expect 1 unsaved man among many attractive women to stay faithful to her.
Why is she going on a immoral show like this to begin with and then using her faith to prove she has standards. The whole show is based on immorality and he is unsaved so why would you want to have a relationship with a godless person.
She actually deserves a rebuke not acclaim for her stance
Godly standards would stop her going on the show to begin with.
Hopefully she will learn about walking in righteousness before putting yourself in ungodly situations

Really disappointed - I've never watched the show, but I've seen commercials for it, and I guess it's similar to "American Idol"
I suppose this (so-called) Pentecostal Pastor needs the "fame and fortune" to feed his wife and 8 kids (?)
I agree that IF a Christian decides to go on a show like this, why not at least sing contemporary "Christian/Gospel" songs?

Or any of thousands of secular songs that aren't contrary to the Christian life? There are many neutral love songs and secular songs about life that don't promote sin.

There is no conviction of sin. That is the function of the Holy Spirit and makes me wonder how so many self-promoting "christians" can be so involved in dark places. Show biz is all about fame and fortune. If one wants to maintain their witness and integrity they will have to choose.
I am not impressed with a "pentecostal pastor" unless he makes a choice that will cost him everything he has for the Kingdom of God. I was not impressed with (previous seasons) "worship leaders" that were homosexual.

Yeah, how many are out there only using "Christian" music as a springboard for their musical career?

I committed to let the Spirit lead me to music years ago....Much 'christian music' sounds secular to me...just noise....
