    Polyamory: Pastors' Next Sexual Frontier

    Polyamory: Pastors' Next Sexual Frontier

A pastor recently told me (Preston) about Tyler and Amanda (names changed), high-school sweethearts raised in Christian homes, living in the Bible belt. After getting married, they seemed to be living the American dream with a house, good jobs, and two kids. Then Jon, a friend of Tyler's, began living with their family. Amanda developed a close relationship with him, but their flirtation soon developed into something more, and Jon and Amanda proposed to Tyler that they begin exploring polyamory, with Amanda adding Jon as a significant other. They also encouraged Tyler to develop a relationship with another woman he'd met at the gym. He agreed.

Giving new names to sexual immorality confuses and deceives man but it doesn't confuse God

Gal 6:7 - Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
Gal 6:8 - For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.

And the wages of sin is death. The saddest day for the minister of righteousness is watching people whom you have forewarned, crash and burn. Some just aim for the rocks and shipwreck. They don't care. The rest of us? Rescue the perishing, care for the dying.

I read the article. It was informative and annoying at the same time. Why all of the flowery words and exposition when the answer to "polyamory" has been answered by Jesus in Matthew 19:

And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain [two] shall be one flesh? (Matthew 19:4-5)

Marriage is between ONE MAN and ONE WOMAN!!! PASTORS, IT IS NOT COMPLICATED! It is as simple as night and day. Someone comes to you and ask you if your church affirms "polyamory" the simple answer is "no" and here's why - Jesus forbade it. Next question.

I don't think I need to "listen, observe, and understand". Simple answer: No! Repent. We will get you delivered and set free from sexual lust if you are willing to receive it. We love you but, no. Otherwise you are in sin and you are going to hell.

To me, the straight old fashioned truth without the modern day churchianity way of dealing with these issues is best. I am fed up with some of this modern way of dealing with sin.
