So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
I'm thinking all of this GoogleAmazonFacebook will end badly..

Sounds like my wife. I go to Walmart just to view the Walmartians especially at peak season on Friday nights in the dead of winter.

A true "rags to riches to rags" story.

Walmart destroyed the good local economy which made cheap, inferior things more necessary. So yeah, thank God Walmart is helping the survivors..lol
I understand the convenience of Amazon, that is the "good" part of the technology, the loss of the local feed store who always delivered anyway is the "bad" part. Something else here about that local store, if that store knew what Amazon knows about you and traded that info like peanuts, you would have probably run it out of town.
Sorry. I think that sounds like a scold. My youngest daughter uses Amazon for everything, I still love her.
I didn't take it as a scold. It's a modern convenience, and it was necessary. Otherwise, I endeavour to shop local if possible.
WalMart also has its place, I believe. Years ago, in my mother's remote Upper Peninsula area, she'd not have any fresh vegetables during the winter besides sickly iceberg lettuce, hard tomatoes, and a few other vegetables that could be shipped and endure the trip. Then they got a WalMart. And boy, did things change. Now, every grocery store in Houghton, Michigan has a much better selection of fresh fruit and vegetables year round. It's at a cost: trucking costs, wear and tear on the highways up there, and more. But the quality of life for those in the far northern reaches of Michigan has improved immensely.
As my mom and her husband age, I also like the idea that they aren't making 4-5 hour round trips to the next major city for needed items either. And my mom (who just broke her leg in a fall) has discovered that she can place an order with WalMart and send her husband (who shouldn't be driving anyway) to go and pick up groceries. They have the pickup service there, but not the delivery, and most likely won't get the delivery service - there are too many remote people up there.

Another place Walmart has is for the diabetic. I get my insulin for 24.97 per vial under the Reli-On brand. Otherwise, you pay 100.00+. Then, meters and strips? I get 50 strips for 20.00, meters are cheap and reliable. We don't have insurance. I thank God for Walmart. It is the place for uninsured diabetics.
