Google is one of the worst for "spying". I've turned off Google maps and any location services on my phone for that reason. We have a close friend who works in tech and he won't have anything Google in his home. He does say that Siri is pretty harmless and Apple doesn't keep near as much data as Google does. I've also turned on private browsing on my iPhone as well. It's a hassle, but then again, we've had our bank account hacked. (Yes, bank account--not a credit card. Someone was draining money from our account. )
