We ate a lot of Potted Meat, Deviled Ham and Liverwurst when I was growing up - It was a cheap and filling meal smeared on a couple slices of white, Wonder bread.
Now that I think about it, I'm amazed I'm as "healthy" as I am today (LOL)

Same here. I have vivid memories of going to Moore's Lake and packing a lunch with bread, potted meat, etc.....don't eat that either now.

You slice it thin, and put it in a frying pan until it's crispy.
