All done. The project was a challenge and lots of fun. Quite a learning experience. The last parts went on the bike and I wheeled it out to the street for a photo session.

I've had a fun time picking over the winter but really really want the yard sale season to start.
My latest pick was a bicycle, an '83 Peugeot UO-14. Stripped to bare frame and doing a complete restoring and servicing and will build with an upgrade from my overflowing parts bin. Yup, "Ryp's Classic Bicycles" is having a good season. Vintage bike prices are going up, talk of bicycle shortages though quite embellished, is serving to benefit the shop.
Here is the finished rebuild on the Peugeot (I may flip this before winter):

Nice!
I thought of you when I posted this new thread, has business been good?

It has been more active than ever. I combine hobby with business and add the passion for it. Walmart in Petoskey, the king of Huffy and Schwinn (China junk) is cleared out. I need a "beach cruiser" for a caller and cant find one. I would buy it off marketplace or Craigs, go over it and sell it to him...but cant find one. For me, that's easy money. In the winter season I do builds and refurbs, then sell in Spring. It's been a busy season. This could be a 3rd wave of bike booms. Sure looks like it.
Just finished a bike for a customer this last week. My shop is cleared of customers bikes and will probably have my personal projects. The '83 Peugeot I restored was supposed to be a flip but it's hard to sell a bike that fits and rides so good. I have another bike to sell that may go in the spring.
Latest pick. Traded a set of pedals (!) for this 1971 Raleigh Super Course. I have the parts to restore it to original condition but will leave paint as is except for a nice rubbing.
