I believe my wife had a wise answer by referring to prophet Nathans rebuke.
There is no mention of Bathsheba being rebuked by Nathan as God placed the blame 100% on David
Nor does Nathan rebuke David for sinning against Bathsheba, he rebukes him for sinning against her husband Uriah. Which suggests that she went along with it.

The pc crowd will concentrate on that which fuels their agenda and of course David and Bathsheba fits their narrative and agenda.
I haven't forgot the murder as it is especially horrid to God but only addressed the sexual sin as that was part of the OP.
I did a study on it many years ago and saw things I hadn't seen previously nor had heard any preaching on its significance. There are powerful truths around what happened to Uriah.
I can remember FO commmenting on some things I previously wrote on this forum years ago regarding David and Uriah ...not sure if she still remembers.
Nope, can't recall at the moment... but whatever it was it must've been gooooood

It was a compounding of his original sin.
But, not forgetting it! David just kept digging his hole deeper and deeper.

There is a scripture that says Bathsheba descended from Ahithophel.
This could explain why he betrayed David if he held a grudge or unforgiveness the way David treated Bathseba.
If David did rape Bathsheba then it is understandable that Ahithophel would be very angry. The small seed could easily grow to betrayal over time.

Not to mention of a planned death of her husband.

Yeah, Joab who was also one of David's top men knew all about that. But David knew based on his own inquiry that she was Ahithophel's granddaughter - if it's the same Eliam. So it seems strange that he dared do what he did, unless Ahithophel became a top man only later. He isn't mentioned until a few chapters later.
