There are very few like Wigglesworth who was able to walk in divine heath without any medical intervention

I knew a elderly brother from our church who died in his early 90's. He walked in amazing health and had not seen a doctor for many decades. He came to me in prayer discouraged when he was in his 80's. He went to the doctor and felt he failed God because elderly were getting the flu and he felt some early symptoms so he booked an appointment.

After he booked the Holy Spirit said to him - You didn't have to do that. The doctor cleared him from having any sickness
So he told me the story and felt he grieved God - but I thought it was a cool story of how God had given him incredible faith to walk in divine health

He was not a minister or someone the church would call a 'great' man of God but a simple, dedicated, caring, honest man who loved God and wanted to please him
In heaven he will be commended above many of the 'greats'
The accounts suggest that Lake very much walked in divine health during his early years in very dangerous circumstances including an African plague so it could be that he lost that in later years. Lake's own faith for divine health may have made him arrogant in relation to his family which suffered under the same circumstances, including his first wife who died in Africa during that time.

F F Bosworth who was born in the 1800s also lived to be 80+. Was that divine health or mostly good genes ? Some people are more naturally resilient to environmental factors than others and live longer with fewer problems.

William Branham and FF Bosworth-anna-schrader-jpg :“… Then brother Lindsay related something else to me that had happened regarding this same prophet. He said to me, ‘This past year, I was praying with my wife and sister Schrader about the work of the ministry. (Sister Schrader was a prophetess who has since gone on to be with the Lord.) We were praying about different projects in our ministry. Right in the middle of the prayer, Sister Schrader blurted out, ‘Go warn Brother [Branham]… he’s going to die.’ Brother Lindsay said, ‘I was busy, and I let that get to me, and I didn’t go warn him like I was supposed to. Then later, my wife and I and Sister Schrader were again praying about ministry projects. Again Sister Schrader blurted out right in the middle of prayer, ‘Go warn Brother [Branham]… he’s going to die. He’s walking in the way of Dowie.’ After his morning meeting, Brother Lindsay said, ‘I talked to him as the Lord had instructed me, but I saw that he wouldn’t listen…” (K. Hagin, ‘He Gave Gifts unto Men’, pg 164-170).
Alexander Dowie was a faith healer at the turn of the 20th century who established a city in Zion, Illinois, and believed that he was Elijah the prophet.

Here's a good one about Branham and Bosworth:

On January, 1950, a baptist minister names Dr. Best challenged the veracity of the healing miracles in the William Branham crusades. Branham refused to debate with Reverend Best, but his campaign manager, the famous F.F Bosworth took on the challenge. Bosworth started by reading the notes listed in his Scofield Bible about the 7 redemptive names of Jehovah. Bosworth then asked the following: "Was the redemptive name of Jehovah applied to Jesus?"

Dr. Best shifted position in his seat, but did not speak. Bosworth: "Why, Mr Best, I'm surprised you don't answer. This is one of the weakest argument I have. Jehovah Jireh (God will provide himself a sacrifice -Gen 22.14) applies to Jesus - and every christian will agree that it does - then the name Jehovah Rapha (the Lord our healer - Ex 15.26) must also apply. If Jesus is God's provided sacrifice to save us from our sins, then He must also be our healer. What do you say to that, Mr. Best?" Later on, Fred Bosworth stepped up to the microphone and said: "Just a moment Mr. Best. I want to ask this audience - how many Baptists here can prove by a doctor's statement that you have been healed in these Houston meetings? Would you please stand up?". 300 stood up. (I still remember Bosworth's questions 20 years after reading it for the first time. You simply can't refute this.)

There are multiple sources for this event but the best one is the William Branham biography by Owen Jorgensen volume 1 chapter 46 from 2011. Audio edition with mp3 also available. The pdf of the newspaper is also available online and can be found with a google search. The famous pic of Branham with the pillar of light above his head was also taken at this meeting. Raymond T. Richey was also there that night.

I’m guessing a lot of baptists lost their religion when Branham laid hands on them.

Anyway it has to be highly contentious topic because Hagin, not sure why he interjected himself into it, but apparently many wanted some of the shine on Branham to reflect on them, even after the mans death.

Branham had a very powerful ministry, too bad the whole thing is clouded by after the fact arm chair quarterbacking.
Well since you weren't there neither did you know Brother Hagin personally, your assumption that he was lying means nothing. I'd be careful about trying to tarnish the character of a man whose ministry has and continues to bring millions to Christ, with miracles, signs, and wonders following.

When you've had the impact in the body of Christ that Kenneth E. Hagin has, then maybe you'll have room to talk. Actually, not even then. Just do what you were called to do. Besmirching another man, whom you didn't know, makes you look petty, gossipy, and insecure.
When your praise match your prayers, the answer will come.

I agree, those were my words. I didn't mean to imply that he said them.

Funny you should bring this up. Just earlier today I was asking the Holy Spirit how a man like Lake, who believed so strongly in healing, and if the story is true about them putting the plague germs in his hand and then looking under a microscope and they had died (so seemingly proof of a strong faith for his own walking in divine life, not only just healing for others), how a man like that could die of strokes. I realize nobody is perfect, but I'd still like to know how that comes about.

The reason I bring up the detail about the plague and 'divine life' is I totally can understand how someone who walks in the power of God for healing for others could have a weak faith or no faith for themselves to be healed and die of sickness, disease, etc. But Lake seemed to also be in faith for his own healing and walking in 'divine life' for himself.
I use to have similar questions about Katherine Kuhlman, who died at age 68 of a heart ailment diagnosed in her 40's. But I learned that she hardly ever rested and traveled all the time across the world without taking breaks. I believe that is the case with quite a few preachers. They don't take proper care of themselves, even after having been warned. :-(

Well, Hagins involved so the Haginites will of course object. Truth is, Hagin besmirched Branham in death, it got him some shine but since I'm neither a Haganite or Branhamite, I'll let it go. Branham had a wonderful ministry and the talk of him "going the way of Dowie" is just conjecture.
