"Therefore when you see the abomination of desolation, spoken by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place, then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains."
Then we have the next event happening.

Well, I guess you just established that I would fall into the category of "Historicist".
I didn't know that there was such a category officially.
Looks like I am in good company. Thanks Nikos!
From your posted article:This school of prophetic interpretation is not novel or new. Biblical scholars throughout the centuries, actually from 2 BC to the present, have ascribed to it. Daniel, John the Revelator, Hippolytus, Joachim, Wyclif, Luther, Knox, Newton, and Wesley (Froom, v1., p2) are examples of the prominent people who believed in and used historicist method of prophetic interpretation.

I know I am in good company such as, Daniel, John, Paul, Ezekiel, Zachariah, all the Bible characters. Can't beat that!
So, brother Nikos. As I was reading this morning I came across a scripture for you to chew on in regard to the pre trib rapture THEORY.
If the great tribulation were totally a future event marking the end times, and the church is supposed to be raptured before hand, why are men and women with the seal of God on their foreheads walking around the earth between the 5th and 6th trumpets in Revelation 9:4?
To go along with that, brother Nikos, between the 5th and 6th seals we see the souls who had been slain for the Word of God and their testimonies. They cry out for vengeance and are told to rest a while longer, until both the number of their FELLOW SERVANTS and their BRETHREN, who WOULD BE KILLED AS THEY WERE, was completed. This shows that there are still saints on the earth between the 5th and 6th seals.
It is important to note that Jesus does not say that He is coming as a thief until the 6th bowl judgement is poured out.
In the pre-trib rapture theory teaching, Jesus has already come for His bride by the time the judgments are poured out.
