    Seattle is Dying

Does your city have a drug and homeless epidemic like Seattle?
I grew up here in my early years and back then it was nothing like it's become now.
A local news station produced this hour documentary on the streets of Seattle. Seattle is called the Emerald City. But what Seattle has become is much different from the reality of a costly stone. City officials don't want you to know the truth about Seattle, because if you did, you would think twice about coming here as a tourist.
Take a peek at the streets of Seattle for the next hour and tell me if your city is like the "Emerald City."

P.S. MOD's, was not sure where to post this thread. If this is not the appropriate category, please place it to it's proper section. Thanks!

As bleak as this video is, there is some good news that the producers failed to mention. There are certain churches, ministries, and missions that are reaching out to those who are affected by the drugs and poverty. There is a gospel witness, as well as physical needs (food and clothing) being given to those living on the streets. There is also several in house long term Christian rehab/treatment programs offered by local missions free of charge. Although KOMO News did a truthful and eye opening video on the street problems in Seattle, they failed to show that the Christian community is active on the streets of Seattle as well. Of coarse, I do not doubt that any large city (LA, NY, etc.) does not have it's fair share of the same problems that Seattle has on it's streets. I've even heard that street people have been disappearing off the streets in some major cities. Conspiracy theories abound that some of the homeless have been forcibly abducted by government authorities in unmarked vans and taken to FEMA camps. I really don't know if there is any truth to this though. One thing I do know is street poverty is a real and major problem to some of the large metropolitan cities in America. This problem will be a thing of the past when Jesus returns and sets up His kingdom. But until then, the need to help bound and hurting people trapped in the vicious cycle of street poverty is at a crisis level all across our country.

We live about 100+ miles south of Seattle on the coast. I can tell you the liberal government of Seattle and Washington state has alk but ruined that city. So sad.

Yes actually. Oregon is as liberal as Washington state is. we call it the Left coast cause most of the states are so liberal they are nearly leftist socialists. Really sad to see homeless and drug addicted people camping out in doorways of even smaller towns like Aberdeen where my kids live. people holding signs begging for money right below the do not give to panhandlers give to organizations sign.
I mean how gutsy are they?
we even have a couple at the entry of our grocery store here in Raymond. and we are teeny and in the boondocks. we may have around 5000 or so in the cluster of 3 towns here.
