Shooting spree
I live in the Everett/Seattle metropolitan area in the Pacific Northwest. Recently, a man went on a random shooting spree in Lake City, a suburb of Seattle.
Although the police interview at the shooters hospital room is not in the article, he told police he remembers nothing of what he did. "I was in a complete blackout the man claims." I went to the store and bought vodka, rum, and wine and started drinking at my house. That's the last thing I remember, then I wake up here in this hospital bed. This is what the man told police when he woke up at Harborview Medical Center. He was charged with two counts of 1st degree murder as well as 2 counts of attempted murder and other charges. The death penalty was thrown out of our state a couple of months ago. This man will end up doing life in prison because of killing people he had previously never met because of drinking, then going on a shooting rampage in a drunken blackout.

Demons look for legal grounds and open doors to justify their entry. They come in from abusing the body through a host of sins. One of which is through abusing alcohol. Demons do not eat or sleep. They roam the earth (24-7) looking for a body (host) to infiltrate in order to manifest destruction upon the individual and others through the host. Alcoholism is not a disease. It is sin and bondage. It is my personal belief that the person who committed the atrocities through his murderous rampage was controlled by demons during the man's alcoholic blackout. It fits their M.O.
Kill, Steal, Destroy!

I hate it when that happens.

The system calls it a disease but I was very outspoken in opposition to this when I worked with teens in recovery. What a lie to tell people they will forever be alcoholics/addicts. If Scripture condemns drunkeness, it certainly isnt a sickness. Scripture never sends people to hell for being sick. As for the “always” part, I preached to my kids that when you become born-again you are a new creation. Entirely new. This generation needs to hear scripture!!

Your argument there was always Finney's argument in opposition to people being 'born sinners'. If you're born one, how can that be punished? Hence why he taught we're born 'innocent' and eventually we sin and allow the 'sin nature' to inhabit us through that disobedience.

That explains the age of accountability. Not sure what that is, but youngsters are not tinted by corruption, and the world system being innocent because of the age of accountability.

I'm sure he will find some lawyer that will try and get him off or get the charges reduced because after all, "he was in a blackout" and should not be held responsible for his actions.

Amen! I have had people in my congregation before whom I spoke with because I found out about their regular attendance to AA or NA. I have told them that it is counterproductive/unscriptural to constantly confess that you are an addict/alcoholic if you have been born again.
Jesus has a 2-step plan: Repentance and Faith in Him, that He is the Son of God, and whom the Son sets free is free indeed!

It is a worldly system that presupposes a failure to stay sober. This is where they drummed up the term “relapse”. It figures right in with “disease”. The hopelessness of the situation. Not only does one need deliverance of the substance to which they are addicted, they also need deliverance of the lies sown deeply in their soul.
