    Pastor buys wife $200,000 car

Megachurch pastor criticized for buying wife $200G Lamborghini

A South Carolina pastor defended buying his wife a $200,000 Lamborghini Urus as an eighth wedding anniversary present after coming under fire for the purchase.

Pastor John Gray, the leader of Relentless Church in Greenville, S.C., came under fire for presenting his wife, Aventer, with the expensive vehicle. A video that went viral, which has since been deleted, showed the pastor surprising his wife with the keys to the luxury vehicle last week, the Charlotte Observer reported.

I’d buy my wife a Lambo if I had the cash. We’d go for summertime Friday night drives to the UP.

I suppose if he didn't identify first as a "Pastor," it wouldn't look as though the Sheeple's *Tithes* went to pay for the car?

I realize he has "other streams of income," but it just seems like a worldly display of materialism, nonetheless.

I know there are those who would say "God's people should be blessed and walk in abundance," but I can't think of anyone more "Godly" than Jesus, John or Paul, and I just can't imagine them spending that kind of money on material THINGS, versus PEOPLE, or MINISTRY-related items.

EDITED TO ADD: Also, why make a big production about it anyway? - If this was simply (as he stated), "A man giving a present to his wife," why not just do it in private and not post it on social media?

It's not that much money and where the money came from matters everything. If a minister spends what is in fact his own money on even a private jet (they costs hundreds of times as much as that luxury car) then that is his business.

Good for him .. Only problem with him is that he has been beating his chest and puffing his chest of late attacking other pastors and criticizing Trump so there is a hint of serves him right that my flesh is trying to say

Hopefully he'll learn from this that living for the worlds approval will never get you anywhere no matter how much you claim to be different from the rest
