The Christmas Ship Of Lake Michigan
I doubt any here have heard of the legend of the Christmas ship early 1900's as the sailed from N Michigan ports with decks filled with Christmas trees to share the joy of The Tannenbaum among the German immigrants in Chicago. The Rouse Simmons sank in a violent storm off the shores of Two Rivers, Wisc in 1912. Sad, tragic and charming story of valiant men:
