Clint Brown was Rod Parsley's former worship leader. Seems like I vaguely recall something coming out about them one time. But can't remember now so I may be wrong.

She should have known that going on Ellen's show was going to prompt a question like this, and she should have had an adequate response ready.

Having lived in Nashville for a couple of years in pursuit of a career in the Christian music industry, I can tell you that most of these "Christian" artists are marginal Christians. The Christian music industry is full of boozers, druggies, homosexuals, adulterers, and liars. It's pathetic. The industry won't allow artists to stand on principle, which is why so many of us chose to go another route. Martha Munizzi is a prime example. We worked together in a worship team in the 90s. She was contemplating a move to Nashville and I advised her against it. Instead she hooked up with Clint Brown's new church in Orlando, Florida where she gained national exposure without having to compromise her values or beliefs.
I dont know if you recall this but it was Steve Camp that 20yrs ago did a "Wittenberg Door" on the Christian Music Industry in hopes for a reformation.

Except for the nod to John MacArthur that was a good article.

Revelation 21:8 New King James Version (NKJV)

The virgins need to wake up, trim their lamps and get about their Father's business.

Sadly the church in America (for the most part) is more self help focused than disciple making focused. We need to get saved and delivered so we can quit dwelling on the drama in our own lives and start taking the gospel to the lost.

The gospel is the POWER of God unto salvation. We need to live out that power for the whole world to see.

It needs to be evident in each of our lives. When the "church" looks to the uninformed like a building full of drama queens instead of looking like a group of victorious saints/overcomers who have something to offer to them it is no wonder that they want nothing to do with what they think we have to offer.

We have freedom and victory over sin to offer them, and yet many who would call themselves the "church" aren't free or victorious.

Jesus said "Freely you have received, freely give."

First, I have to be able to convince them that I have received anything.

Can a slave bound in chains standing on the back of a prison wagon convince you that you can be free?

Amen. That day is upon us.

    Interesting thread and good comments.

I will only briefly say that I personally would never condemn Lauren Daigle as a person. But I will continue to preach and teach against the acceptance and compromise with sin in our day and I will condemn it. This is not because I hate the people involved in it. Actually, the exact opposite. God loves these people. It is SIN and SATAN who desires to destroy them. Jesus desires to rescue them from sin's destruction. That is why we must preach against it.

However, we must preach and condemn sin out of a love and concern for what it is doing to the sinner and not out of self-righteous judgment. I must preach and at the same time remember that I can easily fall into the same sins I am condemning if I do not remain on my guard. Let us continually remember that old worn out adage: "Hate the sin but love the sinner." It's old and overused, but still true.
