So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
The roku has tons of fun TV.
Beverly Hillbillies! and Granny wompin up some vittles.
I never knew they purged all of those rural shows in the 70's and replaced them with urban shows.
The "rural purge" of American television networks (in particular CBS) was a series of cancellations in the early 1970s of still-popular rural-themed shows with demographically skewed audiences, the majority of which occurred at the end of the 1970–71 television season. In addition to rural-themed shows such as Mayberry R.F.D., The Beverly Hillbillies, and Green Acres, the cancellations ended several highly rated variety shows that had been on CBS since the beginning of television broadcasting. CBS saw a
dramatic change in direction with the shift, moving away from shows with rural themes and toward more appeal to urban and suburban audiences.

There are folks that say this kind of stuff doesn't matter. It only matters what I believe inside, and therefore I can watch and listen to anything. I worked with a youth pastor decades ago who said he had to watch the stuff because the youth were watching it and he had to know what they were watching so he could combat it.
Here I am years and years later and I know that it is far better to err on the side of holiness and purity than to watch stuff without a care of what I'm seeing. What I've seen and let into my soul over the years has had an effect. As a culture we have been softened regarding the gay agenda in 90s til now and the LGBTQ movement, to now teaching our youngest children abominations in public schools. I remember when Will and Grace and Queer Eye for the Straight Guy came out in the late 90s/early 2000s (it's a bit fuzzy) and I remember seeing clearly that these shows were produced to present gay men in a way that we could "accept" them. And those shows and others did their work in the culture.
So, we cut cable, stopped Netflix. I have Amazon, but I have a lock on anything that is TV-MA or R-rated, so I have to really think before I input that code whether I should be watching this show. The unfortunate part is the lock works on shows that are unrated. For example, Sargeant York (one of my favorite movies!) is locked because it was never rated. If you haven't seen it, do yourself a favor and watch it. It's also on YouTube. ;)
Anyway, there are always going to be areas of gray in our lives. I've just determined that I may be branded a prude, too rigid, etc., but I would much rather be branded that than to watch some of the filth that is paraded before the culture as entertainment.

That YP would be better to have taught and modelled the power and desire to stay away from such. In my 11 years as a YP never did I even hear of such a need to taste of the world's garbage so to have some sort of relevance or strategy.

The liberal agenda has taken over the networks.
A new show started this season-All Rise. The pilot was funny. Episode 2 went right after ICE. That was the end of that new show for us.
They put their agenda in Person of Interest in the last few episodes when 2 of the main characters came out as lesbians.
Madame Secretary- Really enjoyed it for a while, and then out came the liberal agenda.
Devil is working overtime to destroy America and the rest of the world.

Christianity needs to own that mountain again - the mountain of entertainment. It's completely owned by LGTBQ culture. Therefore, I won't have a bit of it if I can avoid it.
