I met Frank Houston when I first went into the ministry and he was a Father figure in the church and basically people were in awe if him. He had a real gift of faith and Christians love the outward gifts.
The problem is that no one can really challenge the authority they have in the church and if you do you are a 'Absalom' causing mischief.
How did he function and lead a church when deep down he had committed these horrible acts...you have to suppress your conscience
I believe God wanted him to confess and reveal his past and gave him time and grace but instead he ended up being exposed and died in shame
