Mat 24:37 But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark,
39 and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.

Luke 17;26 And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: 27 They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. 28 Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; 29 but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. 30 Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.

Eating, drinking, getting married. Living without worry, expecting a bright future. Then disaster comes along the next moment. That's the context. Not giants.

I just found this image. tT-20% would understand it in context. Non-Ozzies most likely have no idea of the context and take it as read.

Good example of having other scriptures interpret rather than context. I believe the Spirit lives by God's rule of 2 or 3 witnesses. Which often means rather than just context or others interpreting context allowing the Spirit to marry the two so that both are true and revelation comes...The Spirit brings the word of God alive as in proper application in our day to day lives. We are not to pick and choose one over the other...we MUST have both. The author must speak His intent and application to us.
