"We see a lot of deliverance during water baptism 'just like in the book of Acts' "

    No it's not.

Acts 2:38 “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."

In fact, every word of it, including that people should be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ rather than "in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit" as most Charismatics do.

There is also a large focus on healing and deliverance since there is a lot of that throughout the gospels and the book of Acts.

The experience of the leaders of the movement is that there is a lot of deliverance going on during water baptism. But it doesn't seem to me that an expectation of that can be derived from anything in the book of Acts that one could then use as a blueprint in the same manner that Acts 2:38 is used as a blueprint. It's rather "what happens to be the experience of the last Reformation guys". Just like other movements have other experiences that belong to their movement and aren't seen that much in other movements - nor in the Biblical accounts (slayings in the Spirit, gold dust, holy laughter etc).
Yet, if God wants to bring a spotlight of emphasis on water baptism, and the presence of God being heavy and felt especially of those going into the water, I would be expectant of seeing miracles of every sort occuring. One significant quote I recall from Steve Hill and John Kilpatrick during the Brownsville Revival was this, “When the pattern (order) is right, the Glory will fall”. This I have seen. Now? What if part of that order is to bring our churches back to a fresh conviction of the critical importance of water baptism in fulfilling all righteousness as Jesus spoke of? This I have been emphasizing in our church with a fresh emphasis.

I do believe in seeing the fullness of what happened in the book of Acts and I do believe that water baptism is a vital part of the full gospel message. I think it's quite possible to go too far with trying to copycat what they did in the gospels or in the book of Acts though. The main reason why is that they did various things. For instance we always have Jesus and his disciples commanding evil spirits to leave but then in the book of Acts we see evil spirits leave because the person they inhabited was affected by the power of God through Paul's handkerchiefs. Not that that should be the norm, it's only mentioned once. And exercising authority makes more sense. But there are many possibilities. Baptizing people in "the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit" as Jesus himself mentioned includes Jesus since it includes the Son - even if Acts 2:38 says "in the name of Jesus Christ". I've seen evil spirits leave people because they were touched by the power or the presence of God several times by the way. But also because authority was taken over them.

You're not in GA any more?

I have a friend that went who lives in Cumming. He said this on FB:

"I visited the revival at Christ Fellowship Church in Dawsonville, Georgia tonight which is only 14 miles from our home. The service is still going on and people are still being baptized. This is the 28th week. The Presence of God could be felt in the building!"

Hey, we just went with our Roswell church last Sunday for Week34. Still packed and my wife and I jumped in the tank too :)

The stories continue. A couple from So Cal flew in with the guy having a PSA of over 200 coming in - after baptism it went down to 8. They are going to report back what the Doc says.

And BTW, its down the block from the Dawsonville Outlet store, shoppers :)
