No, take Maxine Water's district for example, its the worst one in LA while she lives in a mansion outside of her district:

Come to think of it, GWB vs AG was very similar to DJT vs HRC. Both times the Democrats took the popular vote but lost the electoral vote. The legitimacy of both Presidents were questioned because of it.

And the trend is the same per January 2019, 6 months later. US government debt increases as much under Trump as it did under Obama.

I read that the deficit is increasing because the two sides are unable to cooperate but I thought that the situation was pretty much the same under Obama. What's the difference ?

The difference is that with Obama the tea party inspired congress pushed for cuts and shut down the government to force cuts .. the media sided with Obama so they couldn't force cuts

With trump they again sided with the democrats over the government shiutdown so Trumps ability to force them to make cuts is limited

8 months later, no difference :

US government debt has increased at a steady rate since 2008 and is now (today) at $23 trillion. I remember when posters were outraged when Obama had brought it to around $14 trillion.

Note that the Republicans controlled both the House and the Senate throughout 2015-2018, including the first two years of Donald Trump's presidency. I see no difference in the increase of debt involving that time period, the increase is steady throughout.
