On Monday morning we set out for Indian Lake State Park. One of our favorite places. The Big Spring "Kitch-iti-Kipi" is close by and is a stunning site any trip we are nearby. The historical sites and natural views are very interesting. I like to stop by the antique store and talk 1900's lumber railroads with the owner.

We're heading out tomorrow for our annual "family camp". Which consists of members of our old church that disbanded. I just love those folks....miss my church.

Our campsite overlooking Indian Lake.
Cloudy, cool and misty today so we headed off to trailride in the truck. Went to the hidden village of Steuben before doing the boonies. Lake viewing is fun.

Are you in the UP? At first I thought you were talking about Indian River which was probably my favorite place to go camping. Back in the day it was tents and sleeping bags, but if I ever go again it would be in one of those or an RV.

This is just a bit north of Manistique. Burt Lake state park is what you are referring to. One of our favorite haunts about 1/2hr from home. They were hit hard in the big storm last weekend.

Right, Burt Lake in Indian River. What kind of damage was done? Do they still have the giant cross?
Lol... have you ever been to the Nun Doll Museum ? You probably have but for those who've never heard of it it's an interesting place with a whole lot of nun dolls including giant life size ones.
