Testimonies are to strengthen your faith in Jesus. If it doesn't then, its not much of use then.just sayin.

So a persons testimony of how they were delivered from Satanism, or the JW’s, or Momonism, wouldn’t be of any value?

Pfffttt...rookie. I went to catholic schools K thru 12 and my mother's cousin was a nun. The nuns didn't mess around back then, mouths washed out with harsh soap, fingers/hands smacked hard with rulers and even punches thrown. One boy was suspended for 3 days when the 6th grade nun went to punch him and he ducked causing her to hurt her hand when she hit the blackboard instead of his face...just imagine the lawsuits if that happened today.

I listened to the whole video, was it all fact...dunno, maybe. She did mention some of the catholic traditions like purgatory and did talk about how she was supposed to pray to the patron saint assigned to her per her new nun name.

Plus you have to keep in mind that the Order she joined was a 'cloistered' one, that's a whole different kind than most catholics are familiar with...and since they are so secluded and self contained is easy to imagine how some can turn abusive and almost cultish:

The ex-nun in the video was born in 1898 and related experiences that happened to her 100 years ago yet there have been some similar abuses in that Carmelite order that were in the news recently also:

    Is there another kind??

It's abusive behavior like this, hiding behind the boilerplate of Catholicism that makes it more difficult to deny any allegations than it is to believe them.

Gotta laugh out of the scenario of a nun missing a punch and cracking HER knuckles for a change.

Well if Carmelites are the worst kind and things were even worse 100 years ago then we're getting close. The mother superior in question must have been studying torture techniques to be that bad but it could be that she was there for that very purpose.
