Been sticking to a 3 nights a week sched. A typical night with a 9mi ride would look minimal to other riders but it's a workout. Heavy mountain bike, heavy tires, snow giving rolling resistance, heavy restrictive clothes...yeah, just 9 miles in 55 minutes.

    Spring is approaching!

True but for you that's like July.

I'll ride in shorts and hoodie when it's 50 and enjoy it. I get tired of night winter riding.

Today was another ride on the mountain bike on the hilly backroads of town. Rides don't have to be high mileage distance when it's mostly hills. 35deg with snow flurries. Still losing weight and enjoying the results. Can't wait to get the Cannondale Criterium Series out on the open road, with riding clothes.

When clocks are set back in November that is the signal for me to start night riding. It's not your typical open road ride, this is a "closed" loop here on the south side of town. I'll ride 2-3 times a week, each ride is a 3 lap, 9 mile ride in 45-50min. Good for winter cardio and when the snow starts flying it becomes a hefty leg and total body workout. Last night was ride #1 on easy dry pavement with the summer mountain bike. Here we go.

Night riding in full condition mode. Only 2 9mi rides each week.
