While President Obama did not get any of my votes I am almost glad now that he won. If we had gotten McCain, not only would there be very little difference in the history of the last eight years but conservatives probably would have been so discouraged by his presidency that most would no longer see a difference between the two parties and would have just let a democrat (Possibly Hillary Clinton) win.

Now we have a president that actually cares about this country. President Obama was a wake up call that got Trump elected.

    And Hillary.

Good ole Hillabeans, two-slice Hilly...she did more to unite the conservative vote. Yeah, what a gem she was in that run.

To this effect, I recall Rush (almost prophesying) that the liberal lunatick fringe was growing a “conservative revival”, a resusitation of common sense. This was back in 2014.

Sarah Palin, the former Alaska governor and John McCain’s 2008 running mate, reportedly said she feels a “perpetual gut-punch” every time she hears about McCain’s regret in picking her for his team.

“That’s not what Sen. McCain has told me all these years, as he’s apologized to me repeatedly for the people who ran his campaign,” Palin told The Daily Mail. She said over the years, "I stop him all the time and say, 'Please don't apologize.'"

McCain wrote in his book, “The Restless Wave,” that he regretted not choosing his friend, Connecticut Senator Joseph Lieberman, as his running mate, calling it “another mistake that I made,” according to The New York Times. McCain reportedly wrote that his advisers warned him against picking her a vice-presidential candidate who caucused with Democrats.

His advisers picked Palin, the Alaska governor and Tea Party favorite.

Yet it still stings. She never spoke against him even in his foolishness. It’s hurtful when you’re loyal to someone and they turn on you. She didn’t see it coming, and was taken by surprise. I think that’s what she meant by “gun punched.” Thankfully, she’s strong, and she’ll move on, and even might make her stronger.
When your praise match your prayers, the answer will come.
