Logistics were smooth, set up and mix was perfect. All week I have been expectant, knowing we will have people travelling from several locations across the north. The only question would be this church's response to flamboyant, exhuberant, lavish worship to the King. Right from the very start the flag troupes entered in shofar's blowing in the background as we opened with lively music. Afterward we had ministry at the altar. When we finished, no one wanted to stop. One sis gave me a huge hug saying "I really needed this!". With tears in our eyes we rejoiced in the Lord. Our lead elder patted his chest saying, "very heart warming". Attendance from our own folks probably near 1/3 total on the night. Strongholds of principalities remain but we press on knowing the very gates of hell shall not, can not prevail. This is only the start. We will do another sometime early next year after we hold another worship night at our home base in Charlevoix.

Here a little, there a little. It must all show an increase in passionate love for Jesus. That is my dream for them.

Water was chrystal clear and lukewarm. Beautiful night.
My dad told me about leeches from his WWII experiences. The solution back then was - burn them off with a cigarette. I got a leech on me in the Malaysian jungle once. Probably the only time in my life I temporarily wished I was a smoker.

Some years back my dad had a bait container of leeches on the countertop (!!) and tried to fool me into opening it. He later told me that in my early fishing days I was wading and playing in the water while he fished. He had to remove a leech from my hand and commented I was a little bothered by it. Well yeah, I was 4 or 5 at the time. Just recently my older sister went on to tell me more of the story. She said I had them all over my legs. Sheesh, no wonder they still freak me out.

I have made a proclamation that this place shall be called a House of Prayer. Tonight we begin a worship/intercession meeting that will continue each Saturday night. A longtime friend of mine will be on guitar leading us in worship. No breaks, no announcements, no rules. Freedom to move in the Holy Spirit will be the order, here in these nights we will seek God. I dont care how many show up, this is the time and place to bring the pleasure and power of God into this place. Over the past year we have had a steady flow of spirit-filled believers joining with us. We are going deeper.
