You’d think, but no. I get it; there are lousy parents out there drugging and boozing away all their money. I’m not one of those parents. I have to put half of all the house profits into a trust fund for my daughter. It doesn’t matter that I take care of all her needs and that I already have a savings account for her. You’d think the courts would look at each case individually, but I guess they’re too busy.
How old is she? I know someone the same thing happened to and she just had her two kids sign over their part to her. Her kids weren't legal adults when they did it either if I remember correctly.

She’s five. I’m her official guardian now. It took a judge to sign me as her guardian. Giving birth to her didn’t automatically give me those rights.
