    RE: Favorite Music...

Smitty posted one of his favorite musicians from back in the day, so here's one of mine...

Got saved in '81, and threw away all of my secular music - Immediately went searching for Christian music - His ministry was such a blessing to me - It was an amazing alternative, because I was a HUGE music fan, as well as a singer for most of my life, and I just couldn't imagine life without music.

ETA: And then there was Andre Crouch, The Hawkins Family, etc. too.

Well, I didin't really listen to Christian music until the 80's, so let's see...

Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith, Larnelle Harris, Andrae Crouch and his sister Sandra, some of those Integrity Music tapes (such as the Ron Kenoly ones), Bryan Duncan, the Winans, Donnie McClurklin, Fred Hammond, Israel Houghton...

then in the 90's it was Kirk Franklin, Hillsong, a lot of various worship music

From 2000 on, mostly worship music like Terry MacAlmon, stuff from Bethel, Jesus Culture, Elevation Worship..

too many to name right now

I kept Martha Munizzi's CDs in my car stereo player for over a year...Same with Yolanda Adams and Donnie McClurkin, Fred Hampton, Israel Houghton. Before I began my new Gospel music listening, I've been basically listening to a variety of people.

Lately though I've been listening to instrumental Gospel music. I discovered them on YouTube while having physical therapy over the past several weeks. Especially the Gospel Jazz Instrumentals. My physical therapist loves them too. I now listen to them regularly, during worship & praise, cooking, house cleaning, etc.
When your praise match your prayers, the answer will come.
