It sounds like it's been a very stressful life for the two of them. If there had already been cracks in the relationship, then the last 1 1/2 years would break them wide open. I feel bad for them, and hope they are able to work things out for the sake of their children.

I agree. The attacks on their family has been brutal. All the more reason to stay together. I too hope they can work it out because divorce affects children hard, doesn't matter how much money one has. Children suffer the most.
When I was on the job, I use to talk with some of the guys talking divorce and would share with them the difficulties their children would suffer. But, they wouldn't hear. I think it's selfish of people with children who won't do anything to stay together for their children's sake.
