I agree with you there Bookmeister. For one thing, we only make the ratings of such shows higher by continually talking about the show, thus making people curious about it and want to start watching it.

I wish Christians would simply stop watching these garbage shows then they would not have anything to be offended about in the first place. Ms. Behar can rail on as much as she wants about Christianity but no one would be offended because no one would be watching it in the first place. Let the show DIE.

True...so much negative stuff is geared toward notoriety even if it's bad..publicity even if it's bad...like the porn star...every picture of here in 'the news' is about HER and getting her name and picture out there...I read something on this years ago and realized so many really don't care at all about the opinions of what they say and do are, they just want people paying attention and responding...

Yet we must speak the truth. If this woman and her show is wrong biblically, it is our responsibility to speak up. True, we do not want to promote the show, but not at the expense of the Gospel. Silence does nothing but show our timidity as Christians.

Exactly. As some of the young people would say, many of these people are what they call "attention whores". It is strong language but accurate. For some reason people idolize themselves and want to be noticed and constantly talked about.

Garbage like "The View" is still on air because people still watch it and then get shocked when these women say something "shocking". Then it gets talked about in the news, on social media, etc. and then more people watch it. The problem with Christians constantly giving this junk attention is that it takes time away from more productive things - like prayer, Bible reading, sharing the gospel, church activities, etc. Furthermore, to have that garbage from our TV always infiltrating our minds leaves me without wonder why the church makes no impact upon our communities. Why would anyone want your Jesus or think Christianity is different when all you do is talk the latest stupid thing that happened on "The View".

Amen, good post! It makes no difference what it is, if the Christians are silent, sin goes rampant. This is exactly the problem today with our society. While the Church sits on its "blessed assurance" the world has gone out of control. The presence of Christians in this world and the great message of Jesus is what holds back the powers of Satan. No we are not to sit around and listen to these evil minded women on the said TV programs or anywhere else for that matter, but when one of our own is being attacked, like Pence, or if the Bible is attacked, we are the mighty Church of Jesus Christ and we will defend our Message till our last breath.

For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation.......

And that is the irony of this evil...it seems they win either way....so how we respond with the truth is probably THE only factor we need to be concerned with....pointing out as an unbeliever she is carnal minded and does not know the truth of the things of the Spirit or those who are in the Spirit...some spewed venom..NOT HERE but out on the social media platform...Christians spewing venom is what Satan wants....and a lot sure did...

Reminds me of something I was reading in scripture where Jesus told us to avoid false Christians, but not the world....how else would we influence it? So it is equally important to respond to those who falsely represent Christianity as much if not even more than the world misrepresenting it...

I don’t think most Christians watch the view or pay any mind to it. I know I don’t. I doubt if VP Pence does either. Many of us hear about these attacks by the media from Christian news outlets and I think it’s good because it’s caused more and more of us to turn away from TV, Hollywood, CNN etc. I think it’s helped to bring their ratings down.

I’m not sure if many Christians watch the show. But their controversial comments make the news, then someone post them of social media, and it goes viral. That’s how I find out about a lot of stuff like this.

P.S. I posted my response above before I read the comments following yours VW.
