Pretty much every argument you have made here is speculative . From dismissing Samuels Injunction as mere suggestion to speculating that the Exemption of Isrealites from forced labor was a nuanced thing .Here you are in your own words
@@@Now you're just arguing. Generalizing from Samuel's negative statement about their king taxing them heavily to support his own extravagant lifestyle to where that means that all taxation is evil is speculation. Failing to make that generalization is not speculation - only in your mind where you compare everything to your own preferred view as "the truth".
The only person being political here is YOU.And you have no problem interjecting speculative conjecture when convenient as evidenced above .
@@@This is ridiculous.
Even in your own post above you SPECULATE that the census was done for cultural reasons . But yet pretty much every OT scholar agrees that the Census was likely a prelude to taxation.
@@@Please prove that : "every OT scholar". Especially considering that I proved earlier that taxation of Israelites in general was in place already during the battle against Goliath, before David became king. How would this census institute a taxation when there was already taxation ?
For the record I personally dont do politics . What I do is Kingdom. So I have no political agenda to push beyond what the bible says .
@@@Your interpretations of the Bible and especially the OT are steeped in your political views.
PS: Between personal income taxes and VAT among other taxes you guys in Norway are shelling close to 70% in taxes to your Government despite being Oil rich but yet you see that as a blessing? I am not even sure Pharaoh asked for that much from the Children of Israel
But hey it's "efficient" isn't it even when the price to pay is increased secularism. But then again there were plenty of IsraeliteS who thought going back to Egypt was a good deal. I guess they also saw Egypt as efficient.
Likewise Eve saw the fruit as Good to the eye . Point being that that which ultimately kills you will always have enough good in it to make it attractive
@@@I haven't made any statements for or against Norwegian taxation. Like I said earlier, I'm not interested in having a political discussion with you.
