I did like the emphasis at the end as she prayed for the fire anointing....she and Sid were clear that all she was praying for was that the fire that comes with the baptism of the Spirit is released in each to fulfill their call and empowerment....refreshing from what one might expect, a prayer for the 'Smith Wigglesworth mantle'.

I agree with you that God would not likely lead someone to do something that would land them in jail unless going to jail was His plan..punching someone and having them healed of terminal cancer could be a great stepping stone to prison ministry...I do believe the Lord leads as He did Paul to the Athenians on their unknown god...He is wise and wants the most fruit...

The fact is in the NT many were thrown into prison and even killed obeying God. I don't think that was God's will for them all.
Well we know that because God also freed Peter whom He didn't want there....but my point was simply that in our current culture it would be a sure fired way to go to jail and if God didn't want them in jail it's not likely He would tell them to do something that would assuredly get them there...
You raise a good question though....When Paul said that in whatever state he found himself he was content...

I try not to box God in too much....so I suppose we rely on the passage..What Satan meant for harm God turns for good...that should always apply across the board for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose...

There are two ways that God would use someone going to jail. One is by turning something that is bad in and of itself into something good in spite of the bad involved. Kind of like when a Christian simply commits a crime, goes to jail, repents, then lets God use him as his servant inside the jail while he is going to stay there anyway. The other way is that the Christian is being persecuted for doing good and is therefore sent to jail and then God uses him while he is in jail.
Being sent to jail for punching someone isn't a matter of being persecuted, not if it falls under a general law that says that one can be prosecuted for doing exactly that whatever the reason is for doing so. If God then uses the person in jail then it would consequently fall under the first category mentioned above.
Was Wigglesworth prosecuted 100 years ago for punching or kicking people who were then healed ? Apparently not. I suppose people could have pressed charges against him but it seems they didn't or they weren't successful. The probability of being prosecuted and jailed for doing that today is much larger - even if the one that was punched or kicked is healed of every disease known to mankind in the process. That is just the way things work in modern Western society.

I have more respect for him than to believe he would lack enough wisdom to do such a thing. I am just giving my opinion here, not trying to change any minds. Jesus never did such extreme things. A little spittle on some clay does not match up with this extremism. Smith was a wise man and would not do this to a baby who could not protest against it. I believe in following Jesus. If you have the gift of Faith and Miracles you can take authority over the disease and Miracles will result.
