Facebook - New Attempt to Rank News

    New censorship scheme...

CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced on Friday the social media network is using surveys to rate news organizations and assign them trust scores. It will use those scores, along with other factors, to decide how much to show a source in people's news feeds.

"There's too much sensationalism, misinformation and polarization in the world today," Zuckerberg said in a post. "Social media enables people to spread information faster than ever before, and if we don't specifically tackle these problems, then we end up amplifying them," he said.

This is so laughable when you consider that CNN and MSNBC are probably the worst and you can be sure he isn't talking about them. Yeah, this is gonna be objective.

Come to think if it, if FOX News was actually voted as the most trustworthy, how many actually believe they would be the most shown news in news feeds? lol.

    What a farce.

It's just nonsense, they aren't going to use surveys to score news. Good cover story though!

One thing that would help is if satire websites would be labeled clearly. I can't tell you how many times I've sent someone a private message to let them know something is just a joke. I don't even bother anymore.

    The "survey"

Here is Facebook's survey — in its entirety:
Do you recognize the following websites

    Yes
    No

How much do you trust each of these domains?

    Entirely
    A lot
    Somewhat
    Barely
    Not at all

They'll hide behind the "surveys" since the "blame it on the algorithm" failed.
