He changes times and seasons;
he removes kings and sets up kings;
he gives wisdom to the wise
and knowledge to those who have understanding. Dan. 2:21
What does it mean that He changes the times and seasons? Any comments?

This passage comes to mind...
Acts 1:6-8
(6) When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
(7) And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
(8) But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity (futility) of their mind, having the understanding darkened...
(Ephesians 4:17-18)
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly...

Imo it shows God can change the normal course of events that would keep happening if he didn't intervene
Example is how God moved in Egypt with the 10 plagues and changed the plans of Pharoah.
Israel was bound under Pharoahs timetable as well as the natural seasons and with the plagues and Passover he altered everything.
Elijah was able to change the season of 3.5 years of drought as well as the plans of Ahab and Jezebel
God intervened miraculously during WW2 through the prayers of the saints where Nazi Germany were thwarted where even weather patterns changed to help the allies.

Thanks for the good answers. They re helpful. I was getting all this confused with the scripture---
Gen 8:22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
That reminded me of what happened with George Washington during the Revolutionary War:

From what I see in Strongs that Hebrew word is used where the context is 'appointed times' such as feasts...not the same word used for seasons of the year/weather...but is a derivative I believe.
