No, I believe the "teaching" is more of a scold. A focus on pocus.
A teacher does not focus on evil or things that can be potentially evil but would feed the spirit man from the Word of God.
We could run around all day long looking for evil in ubiquitous things..music, food, drink, family. That's a pretty low road.
There is a better way, the highway.
Isaiah 35:8 And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness; it will be for those who walk on that Way. The unclean will not journey on it; wicked fools will not go about on it.

When your praise match your prayers, the answer will come.

Which blesses your soul? This?
Or This?
I choose the latter!
If you put God First, you have Him at Last.

I just watched the whole thing (little skip here and there)...
The first clue for me was his mention of SDA - that tends to put things in a legalistic-leaning ballpark IMO, so I am not surprised by the scope and tenor of his points. He needs to be educated on the full spectrum praise/worship experiences that is available to all, instead of agonizing on the cautions. Let the Spirit lead.
Some takeaways:
1- He trashed the rap genre straight out of hand, based on the way it made him feel and he characterized it (worldly), giving NO possibility that a Christian lyric could redeem it. I beg to differ.
2 - He came against REPITITION in a mocking way (i.e., There's no god like Jehovah). Good grief.
3 - He only accepted the HYMM-like motif for what he considers proper praise. He should read Psalm 150 and learn the Hebrew words for worship.
4 - He is definitely against metal, so I guess there is no hope for Brian Welch of Korn, a Christian who ministers from his metal-world sphere of influence. He has ministered to fans with Todd White.
Continuing,
5 - He came against syncopated music (e.g., it is used in voodoo ritual), so we will have to reject Afro-Cuban music? Not on your life! (Starts at 0:30)
The over-spiritualization of music has been around for a long time in Christian circles. Performers can add a negative spirit to the music they are performing but in general there is a lot more going on that is negative with the song lyrics and visuals involved. Some music videos are so sexualized that if you simply turn off the sound then you will be shocked at how bad it is.
