I do them as I see them. The guest on one Andy Griffith this morning wasn't that well known, at least not to me. I had to look her up. It was Jean Hagen. Bookie might know who she is. I didn't. She died young in '77 at 54.

Jean Hagen (August 3, 1923 – August 29, 1977) was an American actress best known for her role as Lina Lamont in Singin' in the Rain (1952), for which she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Hagen was also nominated three times for an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her role as Margaret Williams (1953-56) on the television series Make Room For Daddy.[1]

Here is a pic of her with Jimmy Stewart:

Yes, I knew who she was. As for the Andy Griffith Show, here's some trivia. If you can remember the Fun Girls who troubled Andy and Barney, Daphne (in front in the photo) was played by Jean Carson. She later became a Christian. Joyce Jameson played Skippy. She committed suicide.

Only a couple that I recall that weren’t very nice...One was Cicely Tyson. Total ice. Didn’t want to be bothered, even though no one approached her, except me.

Bill Cosby was another...We were providing security and he wasn’t at all friendly. I’m glad all he did was shake my hand and move on.
When your praise match your prayers, the answer will come.

Is that the one you were doing the book with or gonna do it with that you never would tell us? Or something like that. :)

No. The book I was working on was with Rhonda Fleming. She changed her mind...but what a story. She was the first Rhonda. The name was made up by David O. Selznick and her agent. Her real name was considered too unglamourous. It was Marilyn. This was in 1940, pre-Marilyn Monroe.

I just checked, she's 94 now...and people change their mind all the time. Maybe its time to give her a call and see how she's doing. ;)

No. I understand her reasoning. She was married six times, didn't have it easy. She doesn't want to go through the memories again.

Many of us that were born in the 60's and 70's grew up watching old TV shows in syndication and old movies on Sunday afternoons.
